Marty was born in Brooklyn, NY to Harry and Sarah Slomowitz, joining sisters Irene and Dorothy.
He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1960-1962. Upon his return he married his sweetheart Susan Kasson on September 8, 1963. They later had son Howard and daughter Stacey and settled in Hillsdale, NJ.
Marty worked for many years at Coach Leatherware, and later with his partner Bernie at Bern Business Brokers. His greatest passion was his family.
Marty leaves behind his beloved wife Susan, his son Howard and his wife Marina, and his grandchildren Samantha, Grant and Alexandra, as well as his daughter Stacey and her husband Thomas, and his grandchildren Matthew and Jeffrey. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Sheila and Michelle, and many nieces and nephews.
