Melvin Sanford London

Melvin was the beloved husband of Stella London, deceased, for 62 years. He was the devoted father of Susan London Goldman (& Howard), Elysse London Teichman and Jeffrey London (& Gail), and the proud grandfather of Jillian Goldman Gluck, Alison Goldman, Lindsay Goldman, Joshua Teichman and Alexis Teichman.

Melvin grew up with his parents Anna and Max London and brother Louis London in the Washington Heights area of New York City. While he received most of his education in NYC, he also attended Miami Beach High School in Miami Beach, FL where he excelled as a member of his high school's baseball team, and was drafted upon graduation by the Boston Red Sox farm team.

After returning to NYC, he attended NYU and later graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Thereafter, he joined the Army and spent some of his time of service in Korea and Japan during the Korean War. He was an active member and at one time President of his local chapter of the JWV (Jewish War Veterans).

Funeral services will take place at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah, located in Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652. Entombment will follow after services are concluded.

Shiva will be held at the home of Elysse Teichman in Macungie, PA from 7/18 6pm-8pm to 7/20 5pm-8pm.
