Minna L. Wasserman (née Marks) passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5th after a long illness. Minna had recently celebrated her 82nd birthday.
She was predeceased by her parents Hermina (Rappaport) and Leonard Marks; and her husband Nathan Harvey Wasserman. She is survived by her children Sanford “Sandy” Wasserman of Scottsdale, AZ and Pamela Menzel (Matthew) of HoHoKus,NJ; her grandchildren David, Ethan and Emily Menzel; her brother Richard Marks (Carol) of Boynton Beach, FL and her sister Hanna Vogt (Dennis) of Boynton Beach, FL.
Minna was born in Brooklyn and raised in New Rochelle NY. She graduated from Mills College of Education and had a long career in education. She taught for many years in Patterson, NJ before her retirement. Minna was a long time resident of Teaneck NJ where she and Harvey raised their family. Minna enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
A Chapel Service was held today Wednesday, July 10th at Gutterman and
Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack NJ 07423 followed with burial
at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton NJ.
SHIVA will be held 4PM - 7PM on Thursday July 11th and Friday July 12th at the home of Pamela & Matt Menzel, 60 Lakeview Avenue, Ho Ho Kus, NJ 07423
