Paula Gass Simon, born in New York City on September 17, 1923, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the remarkable age of 102, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a tapestry of resilience, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Paula spent her years in Yonkers, NY; Rehovot, Israel; Lake Worth, Florida; and Closter, NJ—each place enriched by her presence and the friendships she cultivated. She was a cherished mother to Ted (Diane), Ellen (Richard), and Amy (Dave), and a beloved grandmother to SunRay (Angela), SaraRose (Keith), Rachael (Eric), Pascha (Daniel), Amanda (Coleman), Jenna (Duncan), Kyle, and Kelsey. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Raven, Keira, Alyssa, Wylie, and Lucas.
She passed on the 15th anniversary of the death of her beloved husband, Milton Simon, a poignant reflection of their enduring bond.
Paula found joy and community at the Kaplen JCC’s Senior Activity Center, where she made countless friends and memories. Her warmth, humor, and wisdom touched everyone she met.
Shiva will be held on Tuesday, November 11th following services and Wednesday, November 12th from 2pm-7pm at 139 Crescent Street, Closter, NJ.
