Born in New York City on April 5, 1926 to Reuben and Sonia Moskowitz, Phil was one of three children and grew up around the Trenton/Baltimore area. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served in World War II and Korea. In 1959, he married Miriam Leab, and the couple settled in New Milford, a town in northern New Jersey, to raise a family.
Phil’s interests and hobbies were many and varied. He was actively involved with the Bergen County Players as an actor and in other aspects well into the 2000’s. He was also an adept magician, often performing to the amazement of friends and family and was a past President of the New York Chapter of The Society of American Magicians.
In addition to his parents, Philip was predeceased by his brother Gilbert, sister Eunice, and wife Miriam. Cherishing and blessed by his memory are his son Robert, nieces Carol, Diana and Karen, nephews Eric and Richard, as well as many other family members and friends.
