Dear Bob, Janeen, Amy and Larry,
We share with you the love of Phyllis and her warmth, great humour and spirit that inspired all of us.  We celebrate her keen intelligence and recall energetic discussions about education and schools as well as the political and social dynamics of New York City and Florida.  We did not see you often but so enjoyed those special occasions in Florida and Toronto as you included us like family.  We offer our sincerest condolences and hope that the rich memories bring some comfort in these very challenging times.

What a beautiful service, it's exactly what Phyllis would have wanted. As so many people have stated, she played such an important role in so many peoples' lives;  as a mother, grandmother, spouse, mentor, teacher,  friend and just unbelievable person. I was so blessed to have her as a friend.  The last time we spoke I thanked her for always being there for me and how hard it will be  to imagine life any other way.  And then the more I thought about it; someway or another I know she will still be there.  Sending much love...Celeste 

We truly loved the few times we were able to spend time with Phyllis and Bob when we were down in Florida. Phyllis always made a point of getting together with us even though her schedule was so busy. 
There was such a light in Phyllis’s eyes that drew us and others to her. She will be missed by us and we send heartfelt condolences to her family and to her friends.

Just received a dreaded phone call from one of my closest childhood friends informing me that we have just lost our dear friend Phyllis who has been in our lives for 70 years. It was a wake-up call to maintain communication with everyone you consider very meaningful in your life despite situations with which you are confronted. My friendship with Phyllis for 70 years impacted my life in so many respects. I have her to thank for maintenance of a positive attitude, perseverance, making the most of life, sense of humor despite everything, unconditional love, and thoughtfulness for others. I trust she will rest in peace as she fulfilled her loving family and friends with consistent love and joy. Let’s not underestimate her contribution towards the welfare of others! Amen!
     I will always cherish our friendship, fond childhood memories, her quick wit, our intimate conversations, her honest constructive criticism, and always being there for me with her love, and listening to me attentively!
   Phyl, wishing you a wonderful reunion with your parents, brothers, and other loved ones as you rest in peace! My heart is full of love for you, and thankfulness you were in my life for so many years! You undoubtedly, touched the lives of many and will be remembered forever! One day we’ll meet again and resume our sacred friendship!
