VOGLER, RITA (nee Penn “Penchansky”), 87, of Lakewood, NJ (formerly of Bayonne) on July 13, 2013. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 18, 1925, the family moved to Bayonne shortly after. During WWII, Rita worked at Fort Monmouth and the Bayonne Naval Station. In 1944, she graduated from the Bayonne School of Nursing, and received her RN in 1948. She practiced at Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn and Fairmont Hospital in Jersey City. In 1964 Rita married Felix Vogler, a lawyer and CPA. She was a long-time member of Temple Beth Am as well as past president of its Sisterhood. She was a member of the National Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, and Bayonne Hospital Nursing Alumni. Mrs. Vogler was the beloved wife of the late Felix. Cherished sister of Lester Penn and the late Sharon Gerchak and Ira Penn. Dear sister-in-law of Charlotte Penn.
