It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Samuel Roznitsky, an
extraordinary individual who departed from this world on November 11, 2023. At the age of 77,
he left behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and a profound impact through his
pioneering contributions.
Born on November 9, 1946, in Vilnius, Lithuania, Sam was not only a person of unwavering
integrity but also of a brilliant mind. Always the intellectual, he graduated with top honors and
pursued a lifetime of inventive work in the fields of radar systems, medical MRI systems, and
renewable energy solutions, punctuated by several earned patents. His inventive mind was truly
ahead of his time, as he was constantly pushing the boundaries of technology.
Family was central to Sam’s life, having spent a lifetime in pursuit of greater opportunities for
those he loved. In the early 70s, he emigrated to Israel with his newly formed young family,
escaping the Iron Curtain in search for a better life and freedoms, and then again in the 80s to the
US in pursuit of the American Dream, for himself, his wife, and three children. Always a
devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of love for family, and a
commitment to making a positive impact to all around him.
Sam is survived by his wife Chaia (Bavarsky) of 56 years, children Moshe (husband of Rashella
Roznitsky), Yoel (husband of Virginia Fitzgerald), and Hilela Pagano (wife of Mario Pagano), as
well as 7 adored grandchildren, Robyn Roznitsky, Oren Roznitsky, Mitchel Roznitsky, Hannah
Roznitsky, Lily Roznitsky, Luca Pagano, and Adi Pagano. Sam is also survived by his brother
Arieh Roznitsky (husband of Ela Roznitsky), nephew Yair Roznitsky, niece Shlomit Roznitsky,
and a loving extended family.
Services will begin at 1:30pm November 13, 2023 at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral
Home, located at 402 Park Street, Hackensack, New Jersey. Burial will follow immediately
thereafter. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to either Jewish
Federation of Northern NJ (www.jfnnj.org) or the Anti-Defamation League (www.adl.org) in
honor of Samuel Roznitsky's passionate support of both organizations and their missions.
Though Sam may no longer be with us, his impact on the world will continue to inspire those
who remember him.
May his memory be for a blessing.
