She resided in Sunnyside, NY for 70 years before moving to Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
Sonya is survived by her three daughters, Michele Knapel (David), Cheryl Goldstein and Hollace Donner, 8 grandchildren (and spouses), and 8 great-grandchildren.
As an active member of the Jewish Community, she eventually became President of her Temple and so did her husband, Ralph. She loved to cook, read, watch Jeopardy and dance. She was always The Life of the Party! Family is what mattered most to Sonya. Her warmth was felt by everyone she encountered, turning strangers into friends. Her spirit was so very optimistic and positive. She loved and lived life everyday!
A graveside service for Sonya was held Friday, December 23, 2022 at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
