Dorothy Eckrich

Dorothy L. Eckrich (nee Glass) passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at age 95. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl and son, Jan. Loving mother of Susan (Richard) Filter and Jeffrey (Linda) Eckrich. Proud Sasha of Amy (Michael) Iwanowski, Katie Schilling, Tony Russo, Karla (Matthew) Krueger and Melissa (Brendan) Brooks. Sweet and special great-grandmother of Tony Jr., Jade, Miah, Peter, Cassidy, Greta, Charlie, Elsa and Sabrina. Dear sister of Betty Dutkiewicz and Dolores Bartelmehs. Further survived by sister-in-law, Josephine Glass, brother-in-law, Tony Balistreri, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Faith Community for 60 years.

Visitation Friday, May 13, from 4 PM to 5:45 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Faith Community (9520 W. Forest Home Ave.). Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 13 at 6 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Faith Community. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mary's Catholic Faith Community Scholarship Fund appreciated. Special thank you to the staff at Clement Manor's Rose Unit for their compassionate care of Dorothy.
