Nikki and Kris, As you know your mother was so near and dear to me. She was the mother I never had. It was a blessing that I was able to come and stay with Linda whom I called mother at her home during the months of November and December. I will remember the fun times we had, albiet she'd be upset if I would say I think you had enough. I cherished each and everyday with her. I will remember the last call I had with mom on the day she passed. We laughed, we cried, and although it was hard got me to hear her whisper, when she told me she was going home, I knew in my heart she was struggling to keep up the fight. I didn't expect staff to call me less than 1 1/4 hours letting me know she passed and travel plans overnight were no longer necessary. Thank you for sharing your mother with me. She will never be forgotten. Our memories remain on my heart. I think one of the best was when we went out to San Francisco, CA although anytime we traveled we had an adventure to share when we returned. Then I think of our trips to Oklahoma and Virginia. Always fun!!! I think our shopping trips were a hoot too. No tellin' where us ladies ended up. She will be greatly missed by me and Brittany. I LOVE YOU LINDA AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!! You were one amazing lady, with a way of making me laugh when I really wanted to cry. You always shed a rays of sunshine on my rainy days. You always took time to listen and helped me see the good in me, when all I could see were my faults. I will forever cherish all the time we spent together. I couldn't have asked for a better "pseudo" Mother or Best Friend!!!

Words cannot begin to express our sympathy for the loss of your mom.  You were so good to her, taking care of her with such love and devotion since her stroke.  I am so proud of you for all your efforts to keep Linda comfortable and well taken care of.
Linda was a special woman, who will long be remembered for her gifts and talents.

Kisses from heaven ...
 About 2 months ago mom had a bad fall .. Ian, her grandson, hid some hershey's kisses above the refridgerator .. so that I could give mom some from time to time ... she climbed a chair .. cause she really didn't get her limitations .. stood on top of the chair to get the kisses and fell off the chair .. she sprained her ankle, and was sore but otherwise ok .. but the bag of kisses disappeared .. over the last month while she was in the hospital every few days 1 kiss would appear out of no where .. with Jade, my little kitty playing with it .. this morning, while vacuuming .. another kiss appeared ..
 please always remember to cherish the little moments in life that make you smile .. you just never know when things will change
