It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Aldon James Johnson on November 21, 2022. Born February 6, 1951 in Weymouth Falls, NS to the late Thelma Langford Kelly.
Aldon is survived by wife Deborah, son Aldon Jr. (Halifax), daughters Tara (Montreal) and Allison (Sackville), 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Uncle Carmel, along with numerous cousins and special friend Violet.
Aldon spent his early years working at the Halifax Infirmary and later worked for over 35 years until his retirement with the Department of National Defence at the Halifax Dockyard. Aldon was a longtime standing member at the Army & Navy Club where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing pool. If you were his friend you were a friend for life. He was humble, kind, soft spoken and loved to laugh. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 12-1pm followed by funeral officiated by Apostle Joyce Robert at Cruickshanks Funeral Home, Windsor St, Halifax. Reception to follow.
Cremation to take place at a later date.
