It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Stanley Marriott announce his passing on March 14, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax on July 4, 1961 to Stanley and Irene Marriott. He graduated from St Patrick's High School in 1979 and attended NSCAD for photography which was his true passion.
He enjoyed NASCAR until his favorite driver Rusty Wallace retired and was a life long fan of the Montreal Canadiens. I'm sure the refs could hear his disapproval when they made a call he didn't agree with.
He spent his career at NS Dept of Tourism and was supervisor of the DC when he retired in 2019 after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his mother, Irene (Halifax); wife, Jennifer; sons, Christopher (Brittney) and Matthew as well as his grandsons, Myles and Mason (all of Middle Sackville). He was predeceased by his father Stanley and brother David.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at St Theresa's Catholic Church, 6351 North Street, Halifax.
