Constance G.O. Johnson

Johnson, Constance Galena Olive-103, of Halifax passed away January 10, 2012 in Arborstone Enhanced Care. Born in Colbalt, ON, she was a daughter of the late Hilda and Charles Watts. Connie grew up in the town of Iroquois Falls in northern Ontario and attended school there and in Western Ontario. She worked as a secretary prior to her marriage in 1948. Connie was an active member of Silverthorne United Church in Toronto and then of Wellington Road United Church in London, Ontario. In 1994 she moved to Halifax to be with her son and grandchildren and resided at the Berkley on Green Street and later at Arborstone Enhanced Care. Connie is survived by her son Keith and daughter-in-law, Madeline, of Halifax; sister, Sybil, of Toronto; grandson, Matthew and granddaughter Louise. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Archibald Johnson and sisters, Hazel, Marjorie and Charlotte. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. A memorial service to celebrate Connie’s life will be held at Central United Church in Weston, Ontario at a later date. Connie’s family would like to thank the staff of Arborstone Enhanced Care for their many kindnesses to Connie during her time with them.
