Daye, Curtis D (Duke), 69, of Halifax, passed away suddenly. The son of Bessie Medley Ross, and the late Percy Daye. He is survived by his mother, Bessie Medley Ross; Brothers, Lionel Medley, Ivan Ross, Perry Ross, Robert Ross, and Sister, Crystal Ross Jones (Winston); Aunt Laura Daye and all his Daye cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his fathers, Percy Daye and Ronald Raymond Ross; sisters, Deborah Nixon, Judith Ann Ross, and brother, William A. Ross.
Duke loved to walk. You could find him all over Halifax, he walked everywhere. He loved to workout. He had such a beautiful smile.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax from 6-8 with prayers and words of comfort. Duke will be buried at the family plot in Amherst, NS.
