Mitchell, Cyril Douglas-79 of Collingwood, passed away December 15, 2012 at the QE II Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late Murry and Hilda (Tibbo) Mitchell. Cyril loved model ship building and music. He was the builder and owner/operator of the former Big “B” in Oxford and the Parkside Motel. He was a wonderful father, brother and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie (Danny) Seguin; sisters, Lillian Kerr, Jean Cogger, Linda (Paul) Lellever and Beverley (Don) Ridley; brothers, Gord (Stella) Mitchell, and Don (Colleen) Mitchell; grandchildren, Toni (Christopher) Livingston and Nick Seguin (Kristen Howard); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mabel Mitchell; and brothers-in-law, George Kerr and Jim Cogger. Funeral service will take place at 2:30pm Wednesday December 19, 2012 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Rev. Carson Baxter officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
