He was born in Montreal, PQ July 23, 1960 to Gilbert Owen Llewelyn Tate and Dorothy Helen Thatcher.
David loved athletics and was particularly fond of squash, golf and skiing. David’s love for animals, especially dogs was immeasurable and he was rarely without one. He enjoyed traveling visiting most of Western Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and, for many years, lived in Kamloops, B.C. and later Antigua, Guatemala before returning to Halifax.
David is survived by brothers Stephen of Cape Coral, FL. and Gordon of Hubbards, NS.
