It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of a beloved husband and father on October 24th, 2022, at the QEII Health Sciences Center. Edward was born in Halifax in 1941 and was the only son of Edward Keizer and Alice Humphrey. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin Edward.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Christine (Bain), son Stephen, daughter Catherine (Stephen Harnish), son Jason (Kari-Anne Brooks), eight grandchildren, Nicolas, Ryan, Benjamin, Lucas, Emily, William, Ethan and Mya, and great granddaughter, Avery.
Vocationally trained as a welder, Edward was a craftsman of enormous talent whose interests included woodworking, photography, leatherwork, automotive and carpentry – talent and skill he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
He loved golfing, travel, and most importantly, he loved his family.
The Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Saturday October 29th at 11AM, 321 Main Avenue, Halifax. Father Benjamin Lee and Father Stephen Harnish, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
