To the Grandy Family: Just heard about your mother's passing and wanted to extend my sympathy to the entire family. Your mother was a warm and kind person and I know she'll be missed. Your parents and mine were good friends and I have many childhood memories of happy times spent together. My mother and yours kept in touch by phone long after they were able to visit each other and I know she spoke to my father several times since he's been a resident of the Veterans Memorial. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers in your loss.

Eileen Grandy Family

I am sorry to hear of Eileen's death and send my condolences to her whole family and circle of friends.  

While I have lost touch with Eileen in recent years, I remember her from many years ago when I was a new graduate in social work, interested in the field of Corrections and referred to Joe Grandy who was helpful and supportive to his new young colleagues.  Eileen was warm and welcoming to me and others beginning in the field. She was also very devoted to her family and proud of her children and grandchildren.

In her memory, I am making a donation to the Fred R. MacKinnon scholarship in social work.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  She was a gracious and warm lady and such a memorable part of my childhood.  'Nene'  and Joe were always there - the door was always open for myself or for any friend of their children.  There was always a place setting set at the dining room table at the last minute - no questions asked.  My home away from home for many many years!

I will always remember her fondly.

My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
