

Elizabeth’s work at the Royal Bank in Sydney and later Halifax, Nova Scotia was followed by work in Los Angeles, California. She left California to go to Greenland, where she met her husband John. They shared life together for over 50 years and raised six children.
Elizabeth’s retirement years featured travel with family and longstanding friends to places around the world.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers David, George, Augustine and Joseph Rennie; and by her sister Agnes McPhee. She was also predeceased by her husband John.
She is survived by her sons David (Mary) and Stephen; her daughters Anita Pentz (Bob), Anne, Valerie and Marina; her grandchildren Brian Pentz (Melissa), Heidi Pentz-Blair (Matt), Sean and Michael McCarron and Jeffrey Mosher. Elizabeth was blessed by great granddaughter Hallie Elizabeth Blair.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by her life-long travel companions, Sybil Crawford and Marg MacDougall. Elizabeth also felt blessed to have made new friends while living at Inverness Hall in Dartmouth.
Elizabeth’s life was characterized by giving, not only to her family but to less fortunate children around the world.
A funeral mass for Elizabeth will be held on11am Tuesday, February 20th, at St Teresa of Kolkata Parish on 6032 Normandy Drive, Halifax. Donations to charities of choice in Elizabeth’s memory are appreciated.
