He is survived by nephews, David and Freddie Craig and John Petrie Jr. of Utah; nieces, Sandra Fossat of Utah, Marie (Chester) Julian and Joe Ann Vincent; several grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Daniel and Charlotte (Schellin) Craig; brothers, Daniel, Frederick Robert, Frank and Harold; sisters, Adelaide and Doris.
Harry came from a family of Long Shoremen and was one of the first crane operators at the container pier. He enjoyed telling stories of his adventures while travelling at sea. He was an avid card player and was well liked by all the people who came in contact with him.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax on Thursday, February 1from 6-8pm. Interment will take place at a later date.
