Hendsbee, Harvey Clifford, 98, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, with his niece Alma by his side. Born in Half Island Cove, Guysborough County, he was the son of the late James and Jennie (Ryter) Hendsbee. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Alvina Peters. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14 from 2-4 and 7-9pm in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral service will take place Friday July 15 at 2pm in West End United Baptist Church, Preston Street. Pastor Nolan Lee officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
