Helen Bernadette Martin

Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother and mother in-law. Her smile would light up the room when she received visits from family and friends. Mom’s most special moments were cooking for and spending time with her family. Mom especially enjoyed making her famous mashed and scallop potatoes for son in-law Donnie.

Helen is survived by daughters, Darlene, Shelley (Donnie), Tracey (Shawn) and son Peter (Tammy), granddaughters Taylor and Courtney.

Helen was predeceased by husband Donald Martin and son Barry Martin.

Our lives will never be the same without her, but they have been profoundly blessed because of her. Mom will be forever missed and cherished by her family.

We would like to express a thank-you to family members for sharing many special moments to mom on all special occasions while her stay at Melville Gardens.

We would also like to express a heart felt thank-you to the nurses and PCWs at Melville Gardens for being the ultimate extended family to mom for the past seven years. We have many special memories due to their compassion, and determination to make mom happy.

Due to COVID there will be no service.
