Holly Marie Bureaux

August 16, 1951-May 10, 2022 Born in Halifax, Holly was a graduate of Dalhousie University and the University of British Columbia. Holly worked as an educator at Kings-Edgehill before her career as research librarian at the Halifax Memorial Library. Her wide-ranging interests spanned athletics, travel, the performing arts, literature, film, and history. She had a deep affection for animals and quick-witted sense of humour. Close to her heart were her beach friends and family in Lorneville. Home of her heart. Above all, Holly will be remembered for her loyalty to and constant support of her family and friends. She was spunky, loved a well told story, and a great pair of shoes. Holly is survived by her sister Sandra (late James), brother Michael (late Linda), neice Jennifer (Scott), neice Erin (James), nephew Matthew (Lorelei) a great-neice and numerous great-nephews. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend James (Jim) and her parents Doris (nee O’Brien) and Harvey Holmes. As per her wishes there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
