Gabriel, Howard Joseph"Josie"-81, Halifax, passed peacefully with daughter Paula by his side January 24, 2013, in Dartmouth. A son of the late Hattie(Flint) and Thomas Gabriel, he was predeceased by wife, Ruby(Martin); brothers, Chester Thomas Jr., Leslie, Albert; sisters, Mabel, Lena, Nell, Ida, Lillian, Catherine. Survived by siblling, Charles Gabriel; five children; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. Visitation Monday, January 28, 2-4, 7-9pm in Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Celebration of life Tuesday, Janurary 29, 11am in the funeral home, Bishop Joyce Robart officiating.
