Age 71 of Halifax, passed away quietly in the Victoria General, QEII on March 17, 2014. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late George and Ruth (Draper) Mont.
Ken retired from HMC Dockyard in 1985. He volunteered for the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Catherine Campbell; sisters, Linda Way, Porter’s Lake; Rhonda Mont, Windsor, NS; and Brenda MacDonald, Picton, Ont.; nieces, Samantha, Tanya, Angela, Abbey; nephews, Shawn, Wade, and Patrick.
Ken was predeceased by his parents; sister, Georda MacDonald, St. Catharines, Ont.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia.
Visitation will be held in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street on Friday, March 21 at 11 a.m. where funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m., with Reverend Jeanne Manning-Stright officiating. Interment will be in Camp Hill Cemetery following service.
