O’Connell, Lillian F. -59 Halifax, passed away May 19, 2011, in the V.G. Site QEII , with his wife at his side. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of John and Cecila Oliver. She enjoyed swimming, bingo, traveling, family and family BBQ’s. She worked for Casino Taxi for the past 18 years. She is survived by husband, Charles O’Connell ,Halifax; sons, Chad Smith, Mark O’Connell and Charles Collier O’Connell all of Halifax; Lucinda Fougere of Fort Mc Murray, Alta. ;mother Cecila Oliver, ;brothers John Oliver of Ontario; Leo Oliver , Sydney; sister Sally Corbett of Sydney; 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by father John Oliver. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 today with funeral service Monday 10am. Both in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax. Lill always put others first and would always lend a helping hand. She was a proud mother, grandmother and wife. She will be deeply missed; her memories will always be cherished.
