Madonna Irene Kelly

Kelly, Madonna Irene, 84, Halifax, passed away peacefully at Northwood Centre, July 12, 2012. Born in Duricle Nfld., she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine (Kennedy) Doody. She is survived by daughters Elaine (Rob) Brown and Joan Kelly; her beloved grandsons: Andy (Breanne) Brown and Colin Brown.; great grandchildren: Elliet Grace Brown and Lincoln Robert Brown; sisters Adele Cheeseman and Mary Kelly (St. John’s, Nfld.); many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Adrian Kelly; sisters Genieve, Alice and Bridget and brother Richard. Cremation has taken place with no visitation. Private family service at a later date. Burial next to her husband Adrian Holy Cross Cemetery, Halifax. We would remiss if we did not mention the staff of Northwood Centre, particularly the staff of the ninth floor. Over the last two years they became an integral part of her daily life. Madonna and the family greatly appreciated the kindness, care and love they have shown especially in her final days.
