McCarthy, Margaret Thelma (Spragg) age 95 of Halifax passed away July 8, 2016 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Saint John New Brunswick she was one of five children of the late Leigh and Avalena (Eddy) Spragg. Margaret is survived by Brian McCarthy son (Maria Lang), Shirley Chiasson and Gail McCarthy; granddaughters Karrie O’Shea (Fintan) and Tara McCarthy, grandsons Tim McCarthy and Sean McCarthy. Great-grandsons Ryan, Declan, Connall, Liam, Ethan, and Gavin. Sisters in laws Mary McCarthy , Juanita Spragg and Edna Spragg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Augustine Patrick McCarthy, son Michael Patrick McCarthy,
Four brothers; Walter, Harold, Clifford and Donald Spragg. A. Memorial Service will be held 11am Wednesday July 13, 2016 in St Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 6476 Bayers Rd. Halifax.
