Martin(Downey), Marilyn Joan, age 82, of Halifax, passed away September 15, 2014, at home. Born in Halifax, June 6, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Agnes Downey. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time at the cottage. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ralph Martin; son, Tommy Julien(Bonnie); daughter, Sandra(Julien)Wilson; grand-daughters, great-grandchildren; stepsons and stepdaughters Janie, Ann ,Johnny, Patsy, Linda, Timmy, Tony, Sandra, Beverly and Kelly; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother and father and several siblings. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 10a.m. in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
