Mary was the youngest daughter of John Duncan McPherson and Flora McPherson. She was a resident of Chester Avenue and a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church for 66 years. She was predeceased by brothers, Donald, Michael, Allan, Colin, John, and sister, Kathryn. Beloved by her nephews Colin (deceased) and Allan (Mackie); nieces Flora, Corinne, and Claire (Greg).
She worked for many years at Stadacona but her main focus in life was caring for her family. She became very close to John, Peter, Allan, Kate, Jeff, and her special Gregory, grand-niece and nephews whom she loved and took great pride and joy in. Mary enjoyed the beach, the Yankees, and the Montreal Canadians. She will be greatly missed. Thank you to all the staff at 9 Abbie J. Lane.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
