Son of the late John James and Winnifred H. (Moore) Spears.
Survived by wife, Evelyn (Oakley) Spears; daughter Honeylynn P.A. (William) Spears-Mandeville; grandchildren, Katlynn, Sharon, William, and Samantha-Charlotte Spears-Mandeville, all of Halifax; sister, Muriel Polly; brothers, Gerald (Donna), George (Flo) Spears, all of Pictou County; sister in law, Kay Spears of Halifax, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by brothers, Donald (Victoria) and John James Spears.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date.
