Mrs. Renée Katherine Myatt Mason

Mason, Renee Katherine - 65. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Renee at her home in Cole Harbour. Born in Halifax, July 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Katherine (McKay) Myatt. Renee graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a B.Sc. and continued her studies at Dalhousie University; she worked for the Department of Fisheries and DREA. She was a devoted Catholic and was involved in the Catholic Women’s League and Project Rachel. She was a very avid reader who loved gardening and all types of music. Renee always put her family first in her life. She was an avid reader, loved to garden and enjoyed music. She is survived by daughter Jennifer, Ottawa; sons Andrew (Jennifer), Lawrencetown; and Matthew, Dartmouth; grandchildren Landen and Chloe, who were an absolute joy to her; brothers Gerald and Gregory (Kathy); sisters Paula (Roger), Monica and Patricia (Mirek); She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth; brother David and sister Barbara. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 5 at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2032 Robie Street, Halifax. The funeral Service will be held August 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Canadian Martyrs Church, 5900 Inglis Street, Halifax with Father Owen Connolly officiating.
