Whynacht, Russell Herman Alexander – 83 of Halifax passed away on April 27, 2011 at the VG Hospital. Born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Russell worked for the Herald & Mail as well as the Bill lich shows. He liked watching movies, hockey and baseball. He is survived by his 3 sons; Adam, Frank and Josph Whynacht, daughter; Ruth Whynacht, 2 brothers; Aubrey Buster Brown, Fredy Brown, 4 sisters; Audrey McGee, Sharon Welburn, Barbra Fisher, Eleanor Reeves, and 7 grandchildren; Nichol Starr (25 yrs old), Stephine Anne (22 yrs old), Milton Jr. (24 yrs old), Olivia Lee (21 yrs old), Allana (17 yrs old), Anglena (15 yrs old) and Aydhen Connor (9 yrs old). He was predeceased by his wife, Madeline Christina (MacDuff) on January 6, 1997 at the age of 61; 1 brother; Elfred Whynacht and 1 sister; Sherle Vurke. Visitation will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, located at 2666 Windsor Street, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
