Sally Shears

SHEARS, Thelma “Sally” Kathleen, 66 yrs, Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sally on Friday, April 25th, 2014. at the QEII hospital with her family at her side. She was the youngest daughter of the late James Frederick and Ruth Diane (Purdy) Henneberry. Sally retired from Canada Post in August, 2012. She loved to do crossword puzzles, watch her favorite hockey team the Montreal Canadians and having great conversations with her family and friends. Sally is survived by her daughter; Tanya Kelly and son Blair. Grandsons: Kyle and Ryan Kelly and Kody Dahr. Brothers: Ralph (Patsy) Henneberry, Halifax , James (Anne) Henneberry , Dartmouth , Gerry (Barb) Henneberry Dartmouth . Sisters: Madeleine Paul, Halifax, Lila Hurshman, Lower Sackville; several nieces and nephews and special niece, Anne (John) Stone; she was predeceased by several brothers and one sister. Visitation: 2-4 & 7-9 Wednesday at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. No flowers by request; donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral Mass 1 pm Thursday May 1st. at St Agnes Church, 6903 Mumford Rd. Halifax. Internment Friday May 2nd. At 2:00pm – St. Andrew’s Cemetery Eastern Passage.
