

The family of Trueman Tufts is deeply saddened to announce his peaceful pacing on February 20th, 2017 at his home in Timberlea. Born December 29th, 1948 in the Saint John General Hospital in Saint John New Brunswick he is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Glazebrook) Tufts; daughter Heather-Lee (Tufts) and husband Rob Jewers; grandchildren Makayla and Hayden Jewers; brother-in-law Jim and wife Sharon (Tunis) Glazebrook; nephews Jared (Andrea) and Jacob Glazebook; Brandon and Kevin Tufts. He is the son of late Maurice and Margaret (MacLellan) Tufts.
Graduated from the Nova Scotia Community College in drafting and retired from the Nova Scotia Department of Housing as an Architectural Engineer in 2000. His love of bowling, curling and collecting, were amongst his favourite past times. He volunteered his time with Habitat for Humanity; was a member of the Herring Cove Volunteer Fire Department for many years and his latest passion was volunteering with the Holy Cross Restoration Committee. His love for helping others stood out and for that he was deeply respected and admired. He was a true man and loved by all. Visitation 6-8 pm Friday February 24, 2017, Funeral Service 2pm Saturday February 25, 2017 both in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax, NS.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Nova Scotia Cancer Society.
