William Andrew Webster

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Andrew Webster, our dear brother of Halifax, on June 14, 2015 at the age of 60. Bill passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Queen’s General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Halifax, Bill was the son of the late William Andrew and Bertha Elizabeth (Greenwood) Webster. He was predeceased by Lorna Bray, his sister, Michael Delaney, his brother-in-law and Colin Delaney, his nephew.

He is survived by his sisters: Marilyn, Linda (Wade) Hillier, Cheryl Delaney, Sandra (Jim) MacPherson and Michelle. Nieces and nephews are Laura, Andrew, Alan, Caroline, Elizabeth, Katherine, William and Gregory, and four great nieces and nephews.

Bill’s first love was his family. He had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to joke around, and always made people laugh. Bill had a remarkable memory for details, never forgetting names after introductions. He had an interest in news and current events, loved playing cards, watching movies, and was an avid Montreal Canadians’ Fan. Bill made such a warm-hearted impression on everyone who met him. Wherever he was, it was such a pleasure to know him. He was a blessing for our world.

Special thanks to the staff at North Queen’s Nursing Home and Queens’s General Hospital. Funeral will be held Friday, June 19th at 1 pm, Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, Windsor St., Halifax. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Queen’s Nursing Home or any charity.
