He was a devoted Christian and loved by everyone who knew him. Andrew was born February 9, 1929 in Laurel County, Kentucky to Andrew and Anna Jane “Addie” (Durham) Browning. He was united in marriage, to the love of his life, Melanie (Gilbert) Browning on October 4, 1947. He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton. Andrew was employed for 38 years by CSX Railroads in Walbridge, Ohio, where he worked as a train master. After retirement, he worked part time at Jay’s Furniture. He enjoyed talking and “cutting up” with customers. He never met a stranger. Andrew loved visiting with family, being involved in his church, gospel music and the Cincinnati Reds. His love for the Lord, and for others, was evident to everyone he met. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 71 years, Melanie, and their two children, Andrea Theiss (Dennis) and Kerry Browning (Marty). His grandchildren: Chris Theiss (Susan), Jamie Theiss (Jennifer), Cory, Candace, and his five great grandchildren: Chad, Makenzie, Gabrielle, Sydney, and Andrew. He is also survived by his beloved sister Imogene Nuckols. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as, four sisters and one brother. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Andrew Browning, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2pm, with Pastor Rick Witt officiating, at Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton, 719 Kenworth Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Visitation will be held two hours prior on Tuesday at the church, from 12pm to 2pm. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton.
