

Anna C. Parshall (nee Gordon) departed this life for her heavenly home with God on November 17, 2017 at Ohio Living Mt Pleasant in Monroe Ohio. She was under the care of VITAS Hospice and passed away very peacefully due to their wonderful care. Anna had reached the age of 88. Anna was born on March 13, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky to her parents, John Pattison Gordon and Sadie T Richie Gordon Lakes.. She went to school in Lexington and took college classes after she moved to Ohio. She married Louis W. Frost in 1946 and her only child was born to this union. In 1960 she was married to Otis J. Parshall and he preceded her in death in 1970. Anna worked at several jobs during her work career. She was a supervisor & store manager for Rinks Dept Stores. And later, she was a store manager for Big Lots. She retired in 1989 near her 60th birthday. She spent a lot of time enjoying collecting & refurbishing antique lamps and later branched out into antique glassware. She loved this hobby & educated herself to be proficient. Anna was a member of St Julie Billiart Catholic Church in Hamilton . Anna was preceded in death my her grand parents, parents and her late husband Otis J Parshall. and one great granddaughter Sarah Nicole Burch in 1999. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & John Chesnowitz of Monroe, her adopted brother Marvin P Lakes Jr of Middletown Ohio, Her very special Grand-dog, Champ Alejandro Chesnowitz, a 7 pound Chihuahua who stole her heart. 8 grandchildren, Paul (Cinda) Burch of Mason, Brad (Lizz) Burch of Hamilton, Heather & (Ken) Kelley of Indiana, Robin (Roger) Meiner of Hamilton, Karron Erwood, Wales, Joseph (Karen) Messina, Jason (Kristina) Chesnowitz & Justin (Dawn) Chesnowitz all of Long Island NY. She also leaves 21 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. Michael (Whitney) Burch, Jordan (Chasity) Burch, Kelsi Burch, Erik Burch, Elise Burch, Kenny Kelley, Corinne Kelley, Kara Parker, Gianni Carangi, Nerisse Erwood , Alix Erwood, Julia, Ava & Justin Chesnowitz, Jacqueline & Marc Chesnowitz, Hunter Chesnowitz, Callie & Joseph Mesinna, Gabriel Enderle & Lily Smiley. There are also 7 great great grandchildren that will also miss their Grandma Annie. They are Callie Burch, Adelyn Burch, Waylon Burch, Rylan Vanderyt, Kiley Vanderyt, Kennedi Lee & Isaiah Lee. There will be private services conducted by Ivey Funeral Home of Hamilton Ohio at the convenience of the family. Anna will be interred at the Mausoleum at Rose Hill Cemetery next to her mother.
