Barbara Jo Settles

Barbara Jo Settles, age 84, of Monroe, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Barbara was born September 19, 1940 in Wolfe County, KY to the late Hobert and Ida (Culbertson) Brewer. Also preceding her in death are her beloved husband of 13 years James Settles in April 1992, step-daughter Judi McKay, siblings Edith Drake, JB Brewer, VT Brewer, Johnny Brewer, Opal Chenault, Mary Parker, Virginia Wells, Katherine King and lifelong friend Elsie.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Robyn (Shane) Schneider, stepson Eddie (Lisa) Settles; grandchildren Amy Oberer and her partner Bryson Spaulding, Kathie (Bob) Cassini, Jimmy Oberer; great-grandchildren Trip and Nolan Cassini, Ripley and Mason Oberer, brother Ralph Brewer and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Barbara loved plants and was an avid flower gardener. She enjoyed gospel music, word search, puzzles, feeding and watching birds. She was sweet, funny and always thought and put others ahead of herself. She was retired from Armco/Contect. Most importantly, Barbara loved being with her family.

There will be a visitation for Barbara Thursday, July 24, 2025 starting at 1:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Barbara will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Burial Park next to her beloved James.
