Barbara was born to the late Roy and Effie Still on March 10, 1938.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Wyrick and her brothers, Raymond Still and Jim Still. She is survived by daughter, Rose (David) Fowler, sons James Wyrick and David Wyrick and daughter, Amy Wyrick. She has three grandchildren, Jacob (Dani) Fowler, Rebecca (Steven) Matlock and Jimmy (Chloe) Wyrick.
Her most recent joys are her great grandchildren, Daisy and Calvin Fowler, Brewer and Tatum Matlock and Riley Wyrick.
Besides being a wife and mother, Barbara also worked for the Journal News for over 15 years, and later in the office for Tori’s Station.
Barbara was mostly known for her love of her large family. She never missed a picnic or holiday gathering and was often the first to arrive and last to leave. Family gatherings were often large, loud and full of laughter. They always included her children, all of her sisters and brothers and their spouses,
and her many, many nieces and nephews and their children. Barbara was the second of 9 children and is survived by five sisters, Phyllis Merrill, Ruth Napier, Patricia Campbell, Jan Reid and Annie Still; and her brother, Wayne Still. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-laws.
Barbara was considered the Matriarch of the family, the one everyone called to share and relay information and she will leave a big hole in so many hearts.
