She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Charles D. Ray, mother, father, a great grandson and 14 siblings.
She leaves behind a daughter, Ramona Smith (James) and a son, Donald Ray, four grandchildren Andy Smith (Candice), Scott Smith (Michelle), Taylor Lewis (Jason) and Emily Ray, and 4 great grandchildren, Asher and Easton Smith, Jameson Lewis, Thomas Smith.
She was a long time resident of Hamilton , Ohio and graduated from Hamilton High School. She worked at Champion Paper and LaQuinta motel. She taught Sunday School at Richmond Road Baptist Church for years.
Bessie’s family will receive friends at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Monday, December 22, 2025 starting at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm with Pastor Kris Theobald presiding. Following services Bessie will be buried next to her beloved Charles in Rose Hill Burial Park.
