Betty Helen Kinney (Doke) (Smokie) Took the Loving Hand of Jesus on Friday April 10th surrounded by her devoted family. Betty was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 2, 1939 to Leo and Nannie (Lunsford) Kinney. Betty devoted her life to her family at a young age, after her mother lost her eyesight. Betty became a 2nd Mom to her 9 younger siblings giving up any hopes or dreams she may have had. She did this without regret or complaints. Betty didn't have much in a monitary sense. But made up for it in her love of The Lord and her family. Betty was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter what time of day or night. You knew if you called B etty, she would stop whatever she was doing to take the time to pray for you. Even in her last days she was praying for others . Her love for The Lord and family was most important and quite evident to anyone who met her. She has been and will continue to be an inspiration of selflessness to us all! She leaves behind to cherish her memory two brothers, Leo Kinney and Richard (Bonnie) Kinney of Hamilton; five sisters Connie Stewart, Lexington Kentucky, Patricia (Gary) Karns of San Juan Capistrano, California, Irma Frisch of Hamilton, Eleanora Peck, Forest Park and Peggy (Robert) Clevenger of Okeana; sister in law Betty Kinney, Waco Texas; Many loving nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents ; three brothers, Jack, Donald and Timothy Kinney, and one sister Thelma Dechant. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ft.Hamilton Hospital Emergency Room Department.
