Billy H. North

Billy Harold North, age 58, of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on December 30, 2011. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on November 25, 1953, the son of the late Arle North and Lourine (Hubbard) Goins. On November 28, 1986, Billy married his wife of over 25 years, Norma (Hatfield) North. He was a finish grinder at Hamilton Foundry for 26 years. Billy was a veteran of the US Army and served during Vietnam. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne and a member of the VFW Post 7570 in Harrison. Billy is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Lisa (North) Hoelle, Bobby Hammons and wife Lashonda, Lorra (North) Smith and husband Randy, and Billy J. North and wife Marie; ten grandchildren; sister, Phyllis North; brother, Lee North and wife Lisa; step-brother, Rodney Hatcher and wife Mary Ann; and nieces and nephews, Tina Layton, Lee North III, Lucy Scott, Shane North, Lorraine Layton and Jonnie Layton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-brother, Ronald Hatcher; and a nephew, Justin North, who also passed away on December 30, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1pm with burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 11am until 1pm.
