Carl Julius Knueppel

Knueppel, Carl Julius, age 85, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota on October 5, 1937 to Ferdinand O, and Marjorie E. Knueppel. Carl was employed in the trucking industry. His kindness, smile, and welcoming personality was a highlight in everyone’s day, making him the “Best Dad Ever”. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed reading, traveling, and watching bull riding.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Berlen Houseal (“Buzz”); sons, Gary and Gregory Hasting; sister, Frieda Ladley.

Carl leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Geraldine; sons, Melvin Knueppel, Calvin Schreckenghaust, and Leonard Hasting, Jr.; daughters, Teresa Royalty, Cynthia Hasting, Laurie Hasting, Annette Heimer, and Carla Smith; brother, Harold (“Hal”) Knueppel; sisters, Carol Allen, Betty McDaniel, Dorothy Vaughn, Linda Studdard, and Joyce Abrahamsen; numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011 on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 10:00am until Funeral Services beginning at 12:00pm. Pastor Rick Witt, officiating.
