

Carl J. Tepker Jr., age 73, of Hamilton, Ohio, took his final journey from earth to Heaven on December 27, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, June 3, 1943, to Martha and Carl J. Tepker Sr. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Barrett) Tepker; his sister, Marcia Day; a brother, Tim Tepker; and special nieces and a nephew: Denise Goll, Karla Chaney, Michael Day, Barbara Williams, Linda Barrett, and Leslie Fields and a dear cousin who lived with him at one time, Greg Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-love, John and Oma Barrett. Carl will be greatly missed by a host of family members and close friends. Carl never knew a stranger, and was known for his bright smile, warm personality, big heart, and servant's spirit. He was very devoted to his family and church community. Over the decades, Carl served as an elder, usher and choir member at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Carl was retired from General Motors. He had a passion for anything to do with water and boats. Carl and Carolyn hosted countless events on their houseboat and pontoon boats at Brookville Lake. They welcomed everyone with open arms, treating each as family. Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1285 Main St. in Hamilton, on Tuesday, January 3, officiated by Pastor Kevin Jud. The Visitation will be at 1 p.m., followed by the Funeral at 2 p.m. The family will be served by Ivey Funeral Home with Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14: "You will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him".
