He was born in Drip Rock, KY on March 2, 1929 to Clarence and Matilda (Isaacs) Richardson. On July 1, 1950, Cecil married Juanita Mahaffey at East Hamilton Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran who served in Korea. Cecil was a member of Lakota Hills Baptist church where he taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Cecil was a member of the Washington Lodge 17 Masons, the Washington Chapter 195 of the Eastern Star, and the Kiwanis. He retired from Hamilton Fisherbody in 1986 after 36 years of service, after he lost his leg in an industrial accident. Combining his love of golf with the need to serve others, Cecil worked at Walden Pond golf course during his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Juanita (Mahaffey), his children Carl (Kathy), Linda (Bill), and Paul (Lisa), grandchildren Ana, Alison, Matthew, Emely; great-granddaughter Hannah. Cecil was preceded in death by his siblings Sada Reynolds, Bazil Richardson, and his parents. Visitation will be held from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will follow at 1pm with Pastor Travis Smalley officiating. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park.
