Conchetia Chyle Gibbons, age 75, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 2, 1949 as the only child to Billy Van McHargue and Georgia (Walton) McHargue in Richmond, Kentucky. She grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Taft High School in 1967. She attended Bowling Green State University where she married her high school classmate, Dennis Gibbons, in 1970 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1971. She began her career teaching 4th grade at Jefferson Elementary School and later taught special education at Garfield Junior High School and Hamilton High School. She retired from the Hamilton City School District with 35 years of service. Conchetia is survived by her children, Scott Gibbons (Patricia) of Hamilton, OH, Tiffany Bradbury (Justin) of West Chester, OH and Peter Gibbons (Daniella) of Ross, OH; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gibbons, Patrick Gibbons, Callie Gibbons, Alexa Gibbons, Olivia Gibbons, Isabella Bradbury and Maxwell Bradbury. Conchetia was preceded in death by parents, her first husband Dennis Gibbons on October 8, 1999 and her second husband John Imherr on December 21, 2023. Conchetia was a kind person who loved spending time with her family and friends, many of which she enjoyed since childhood. She received frequent visits from her grandchildren and loved to attend their sporting events and recitals. Conchetia cherished their many family trips to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She was a loving and loyal wife, daughter, mother, and friend. Conchetia was a model of love and support for others during life’s most difficult times. She lovingly cared for her first husband during his long battle with cancer, she rarely left her mother’s side during her illness, and when her second husband was diagnosed with Parkinsons she tended to his every need. Conchetia was a breast cancer survivor that fought bravely through a dire prognosis. She enjoyed shopping and spoiling her family with gifts. She perfected the skill of a beautifully wrapped gift while working holidays at Elder Beerman during college. Conchetia loved cuddling with her dog, Sweetie, to watch Hallmark movies. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Conchetia will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Burial Park.
