

Dorothy M. Masters of Fairfield passed away June 29, 2017 at the age of 86. She was born May 27, 1931 in Mt. Vernon Kentucky to the late Charles and Mamie Hunt. She graduated from the Mt. Vernon high School in 1949 and attended the Sue Bennett College in London, KY. Dorothy owned Act 1 Boutique in Hamilton for 11years, retired from First National Bank of South West Ohio and was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life. Dorothy also was a member of the Lindenwald Baptist Church, the Valley Chapel Church for 40 years where she taught bible school and Awannas. She is survived by her husband Wesley John Masters, whom she married September 29, 1951 in Liberty Indiana; son David (Kim) Masters; grandson Mathew David Masters; great-grandson Hunter Matthew Masters; her sister Jenney Jones; brother in law Lamar Doutaz. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Chris (Willie) Nicely, Betty (Lloyd) Payne, Sara Faye (Jones Oscar), Elizabeth Doutaz; brothers, Hubert (Julia) Hunt and Edward (Kathleen) Hunt and brother in law Jim Jones. She will also be deeply missed by many loving family and friends. Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Thursday July 6, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home 2565 Princeton Road Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Service will be 1pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Hamilton. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
