Dorothy M. Stang

Dorothy M. Stang, age 96 of Morgan Twp., passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Golden Years Nursing Center. Dorothy was born on May 17, 1921 to Peter and Abba (Shearer) Schlemmer. She was a 1939 graduate of Morgan Twp. High School. Dorothy was baptized at the Federated Church in Millville, now called Faith Church. She was very active in her church, having served as a Sunday School teacher, Treasurer and Secretary of the church, President of the Women’s society and the head of many church suppers. On September 4, 1963, Dorothy married Herbert Stang and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1977. She lived most of her life in Morgan Twp. Dorothy is survived by her nephew, Lloyd Halsey; nieces, Naomi Reinstatler, Kathie Halsey and Becky Powell; cousin, Brenda Fahner; close friends, Dennis and Regina Shaw; and other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Years and Bella Hospice for her care. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1pm until 2pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Venice Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
